I would say the same for the Lakers, but honestly, I don't hate them nearly as much as the Jets, Yankees, Dolphins, and probably another team or two I can think of.

Part of it is that I actually like/respect many former Laker players. I've seriously disliked a few, but not all.

But for B-ball, I hate them and the Sixers, and that's about it for teams I dislike. I seriously dislike the Knicks, but they haven't been worthy of enough respect to hate... :D

I know they're good now, but I can't see this group making it to the finals. Out of the three "superstars" only Garnett has gone pas the first round, which he then lost to the Lakers. Pistons or Cavs will come out of the East.

Gasol took a shitty ass Memphis team to the play offs on his back. Gasol is not even close to the player Garnett is. Gasol is a European finesse player. He's all offensive with limited defensive skills. He fits perfectly into the Lakers line-up. Once Bynum starts again, he's going to be moved to power forward and Bynum can play some defense in the middle. He may even start playing as soon as Sunday. Also, you have to give Bynum a little bit of time. He's only 20 years old for god sake. He's going to be one of the All time Laker greats when his career is all said and done. Before he got hurt. He was starting to be a 20-10 guy. Remember 20 years old.

Whoever comes out of the West will have travelled a tough road. I wish the NBA was like The Premiere League Soccer and teams that didn't do well would be bounced down. In tbis case it would be the entire Eastern Division except the Celts (only because of a couple WC defections.)
