Some of you ****ers want to go back to the Jovan Belcher days it seems.
We've got speed in these ILBs. If Dorsey truly wanted these guys to be run stuffers, he would have found/drafted bigger players. |
Mauga is the one who calls the plays on defense and everyone from DJ to Sutton praise him for how well he executes his role. He may not be the Kuechly-level player all you are wanting, but he's an average, satisfactory ILB who's salary is among the lowest of starters on our defense.
Not everyone can be elite, and he's not a bad "weakest link" when you compare it to other teams across the league. |

Why the hell is Bray not playing when he is healthy?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Because when they cut him, they want to stash him on the practice squad. If teams don't have tape on him, maybe he will clear waivers.

If you think he would clear waivers, you should go ahead and delete your account.

Nowhere was it implied Reid was hiding Hill or saving him. No idea where you came up with that. He is a rookie he needs some time but IMO before the year is over he could very well be our main slot receiver. |

And some day, you will be right and will be able to say "I told ya so..." But when will that be? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So... cut Bray then sign this guy to sit on IR for 3 years?

People need to tamper down their expectations on Hill. We've seen this movie before. Don't expect a world beater from a rookie wr and you won't be disappointed. Everything else he may contribute is gravy.
I say this as someone who went to camp and based on what I've seen in person, the preseason games, and everything else talked about the kid, think he's got a promising future & a buttload of talent. |

Also says the Chiefs have big plans for him on offense and special teams...and that he has the same ability as Percy Harvin that Brad Childress coached in Minnesota. Flat out said that without the baggage, he should have been a first rounder. |
I wish that Chiefs news was less sporadic, the numb nuts 'experts' of NFL Network and ESPN are the dumbest people in existence and should be ignored. Those people literally have borderline reeruned IQ's.

Some interesting comments by Reid on profootballtalk this am. Said he thinks there will be more kickoff returns than before with the new rule change.

This rule is utter bullshit. Devin Hester got old and paid goodell off on this one when he heard Tyreek hill was coming to the nfl.

I'm sure he's going to have a couple of games he shines, and probably more that he doesn't do much. I'm just not expecting or demanding that he come in a game in and game out fill up the stat sheet. |

Man, the houston thing is a weird deal

Time for Training camp thread to die.

James Jones released. ROFL some CPers and Gazook were talking him up as some kind of threat.

The fact that he was out there, and Reid's comments, give me confidence. I don't see any reason to get a negative vibe from that report. |
O freaks out about everything, but he's right that this situation is weird that we STILL don't have any kind of timetable.
|
Reid's comments don't seem to bring much confidence to it.
Houston thinks he'll play but we'll see. Seems to me everyone but houston leans to him not playing this season |
Quote:
Just because he's saying that being around Houston "gives you confidence" means he doesn't believe it himself? I mean, he's saying he makes him (Reid) feel that way. Meaning he feels that way too. I understand why you're concerned, but I think you're overanalyzing this report. |
i think he is tempering expectations, ya know, because he had ****ing ACL surgery 6 months ago.
|
ACL taking more than 9 months to rehab would be far different than the norm with medicine and technology today

That sounds a bit different from "play this year". It almost sounds like he means earlier in the season, but I'm not going to speculate. |

You guys are whiny over reacting bitches. Every knee injury is different the knee has to tighten back up essentially and it takes a different amount of time for everyone. Stop ****ing freaking out like 1 arrowhead drive is covering up an alien invasion of houstons knee or some shit. Jesus. It'll be better when it's better. They aren't gonna rush him in and **** it up again that's what put him in this position to start with.

I bet he agrees now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I'm still confused about the initial injury diganosis. Did the doctors just **** it up? My understanding is even Andrew's said he was ok to play last year?
|
Quote:
But I can think of no one more qualified to make that determination, especially when the Chiefs doctors agreed and closely monitored his recovery (or lack thereof). It sucks for Houston, it sucks for the Chiefs and it sucks for the fans. But when the best doctors in the world make a determination, what other option does anyone have at that point? |
