Truthfully, with the amount we gave up, he was never going to live up to it. Wasn't it a 1st, 2nd and $100m contract? At that steep a price, anything less than consistent TJ Watt level production was going to piss us off, but we needed a culture change and we needed it quickly. They did the best thing they thought they could at the time. What's done is done. I'm not even mad about it but his cap hit is about to reach absurd territory so he needs to get his shit together quickly. |
With what he was doing in Seattle, the way he played etc, fine with it if that’s what you get.
But at best, in those trades you hope to break even. They aren’t gonna prove valuable. He was instrumental in winning a super bowl here. Played great down the stretch. So yeah, as far as I’m concerned, we won the trade and won a Super Bowl. The rest is whatever to me atleast. I’m tired of being miserable. |

We desperately needed a pass rushing end at that point too. Look at that draft and where we would have picked. The Seahawks took LJ ****ing Collier with that pick and he hasnt done shit. The Clark trade was the correct move for a team chasing a title
|
We should have been all over Carlos Dunlap and Yannick Ngakoue at the trade deadline. Both of them would have really helped us. Yannick cost a 5th RD pick and about 4m in salary. Carlos was signed for about 1.5 million.
We could have afforded both. They would have improved our defense so much. They would help keep our guys fresh and both can rush the passer. |

Some people will say they should have kept Houston but the guy didn't want to be here. |

I'll argue to this day that Houston is still a really good player and has a place on a winning roster, but he missed out more than we did.

If he REALLY wanted to stay, he would have negotiated. It wasn't even that he wanted that amount of money. He wasn't even willing to talk to them. He basically forced his way out of town. |

But in the context of last year, Houston wanted his $20M. We saved $13M by getting Frank Clark, which enabled all the other moves they made. His unwillingness to negotiate was the only real issue. He could have been here. |
Nah, he was done here after we excised his butt buddy haglund spirit.

If the Ravens only keep him 1 year it costs a 5th round pick. If they sign him long term it adds a 3rd round pick to the deal. Renting Yannick this year for a 5th round pick would be worth it if we win another title imo. |

I still think he is nursing an injury. Plus with holding being not called and our predictive rush/blitz is making them less outstanding.
Hopefully we change it or mix it up in the playoffs. Rush four, use stunts. |

Frank Clark clearly ****ed King’s wife and gave her a serious facial.

All I did was post his plays. Didn't even give a comment. What's wrong with that? |
Doubt Frank got her in the sack

What's the over/under on Frank Clark's coverage sacks on Sunday?

Anyone know when that happened? |
So that was a pretty timely sack.

He needs to keep it up! |
He lives!

Crohn his ass!

We call this Frank Clark day! He actually beat the tackle for that sack. Hopefully that sparks something.
|
He had several pressures and I think he tipped a ball as well.
Think though that his knee might still be bothering him. Looked a little slow to get off the line towards the end. And I noticed he took a lot of snaps off in the second half. |
Him and Jones both played well yesterday.

Definitely a good game for Clark. He needed it.

I was at the game and the visitors side was SO much hotter it was ridiculous. It was obvious our guys were feeling the heat and exhausted towards the end of the game. We were rotating guys like crazy all day because of it. |
Can Clark be cut after next season?

I keep hearing about this guy in the other thread. I honestly have no clue who he is.
Is he a coach? Clark Hunt’s cousin? I haven’t heard the name all season, so I don’t know who everyone is referring to. |
Clark started out okay, but you could tell something's wrong with him. After that play where he got spun around by the Saints Tackle, he wasn't the same. Guessing that spin put some torque on his knee or ankle and that was that.
|
Yet Frank Clark lives

Get rid of him soon as we can. Where's the moron staylor to defend him some more? |
That late screen for a TD he was held like a motherf^&*er but no flag was thrown.
|
D overall is playing great though so I honestly don't care too much. Veach can't hit on everything but Chiefs definitely need to cut their ties soon as they can.
Hopefully he steps up in the playoffs like last season. |
Quote:
But really all you have to do is watch any playoff game last season and compare those performances by the snap vs. today's second half, and you can see there's something off. His bull rush lacks power, and he's having a hard time changing direction. Almost as if something's wrong with his knee or ankle? But like I said, don't take my word for it, just compare the snaps for yourself. |
I don't know if I buy that that he has an injury bad enough to make him ineffective for the majority of the season but not bad enough to where they feel they should sit him for at least a week or two.
|
He needs steroids and growth hormone. His supplier must be in quarantine.

Yeah the injury excuse is bullshit. He just ****ing sucks.

We will gladly trade you Clark for Andrus Peat. Both have big contracts, however nobody on the planet can tell you what Peat did to deserve his.

He looks like Tamba at the end of his career; like he's running in sand with cinderblocks on his feet. The overall pass rush from our DL was a gesture yesterday for that matter.
