In all of my years of viewing the Planet, knowing full well how hard on players and each other we can be... i seriously never thought i would see so many being so down on a guy who has led us to a 7-0 start.
I get that 7-0 brings no one any trophies, i also get that most of those wins have been of the ugly variety offensively... but if the QB gets most of the blame for most losses, he should get plenty of credit for the wins, whether you like his style or not. Its just really mind bottling, i cant believe sooo many fans, who're sooo desperate for respect and WINS, can hate the guy this much... perplexing, maddening, confusing, vexing, pick a word and we'll make a word stew together. If that sentiment makes me an idiot true fan, I. Don't. Give. A. F***. |

I mean, the possible reasons for the uneven play have been laid out over and over again here... new QB on a new team, for a new coach on a new team, with new players who're also absorbing a new regime... that's not joke material and you know it, its a serious obstacle to efficiency for any team going through the same thing. Those obstacles aren't presented to hide the fact that Axl has always been known as a QB who plays it safe, he will probably never wow anyone with his incredible bombs... but, it also leaves room for a TON of improvement as time marches on, 7 games into a brand new team with a brand new regime and you reeeally don't expect things to improve? C'mon man. |

As to the rest, the sample size has been firmly established with Smith. No great changes or revelation are forthcoming, of that I can assure you. |
