If you have a child enrolled at OSU, or are considering it, understand Urban will recruit Aaron Hernandez 2.0 to join him/her on campus

JFC people are dumb

Sports Illustrated still ranks Urban as the second best coach in the country out of 120...114 spots ahead of Charlie Weis who is ranked as the fifth worst.

On edit, they listed the five worst coaches alphabetically...Weis may be anywhere from the fifth worst to the absolute worst...

You may be right. The SEC hasn't won a football national championship since the Hernandez story broke.

Supposedly, this Hernandez dude actually played in another league...the NFL...when he committed this crime. Things are not looking good for the NFL. No sir.

What conference was his high school team in? Things aren't looking good for that conference, either. I mean, if the conference he played football in four years ago is in trouble, they should probably shut down pop warner as well.

Look at Rae Carruth...He played in the Big 12 and was convicted of conspiracy to kill his pregnant girlfriend. A decade later, schools have paid millions of dollars just to jump ship. The once proud Big 12 has been reduced to adding a mid-major private, religious institution and one of the worst institutions in the country that is 1,500 miles away from the rest of the conference. It's now a shell of it's former self.

More scrutiny into Urban Meyer's time at Florida. Can't see this ending well for coach or the league that allowed this garbage to go on.

(31 arrests during Meyer's tenure in the SEC)

Wow, just wow...

How DO you see it ending for the SEC? You're starting to scare me. I'm worried that the head coach of Ohio State who used to coach Florida for five years before leaving after the 2009 season could cause the SEC to crumble into a shell of it's former self similar to what happened to the Big 12.

Not often a writer actually WRITES a rebuttal to his own column based on how incorrect he's been perceived. lol

Your precious championships seem to mean less and less each day based on what's coming out.

I thought $180,000 was bad. But it doesn't really compare to this.

But by all means. I hope MU enjoys it. Can you get to 31 arrests though? (and head coach doesn't count) :)

So...how do you see it ending for the SEC? Is the conference going to suddenly collapse because a coach who left four years ago had a bunch of players get arrested several years ago?

I mean, it's not like a coach got fired for partying at frat houses on road trips like at Iowa State...or tried to make it look like a murder victim was a drug dealer in order to cover up payments to that player like at Baylor...or locked players in a shed like at Tech...or made players do pushups on burning surfaces until their hands blistered like at Kansas...or had people go to jail for stealing millions of dollars worth of tickets like at Kansas...or paid thousands of dollars and gave a car to a player like Oklahoma State...or a Quarterback selling cocaine to an FBI agent like at Oklahoma...or had a drug ring busted up like TCU...or had a Quarterback video tape teammates raping a chick like Texas...or had secret agreements to funnel public funds to coaches without the knowledge of the President nor Board of Regents like Kansas State...or gave out fake degrees in exchange for donations and political favors like West Virginia...

You really need to stop your obsession, it is unhealthy. Humorous for the rest of us, but unhealthy for you.

I enjoy it. Nothing like Big 12 fans saying conference affiliation doesn't matter when the SEC dominates on the field and the court while trying to talk shit on Mizzou any time something negative happens to a team in the SEC.

They try to have it both ways. Considering that Kansas is the most sanctioned school in NCAA history and the Big 12 is hemorrhaging schools while getting it's ass handed to it by the SEC in basketball and football, I'm just glad to have them here trying to throw shit at the wall. Inevitably, they just wind up with shit on their hands.

In the Big 12 these coaches are run off and fired. In the SEC they're celebrated.

How are you not getting this?

Meyer quit Florida. Chizik was celebrated after cheating his way to the Championship.

I think you're confusing things a bit.

These articles are being written everyday. The rampant law-breaking by a 2 time National Champion is news. Sorry if you don't agree.
