I've given Alex credit plenty of times.

At times he's had games I didn't think he was capable of but he pulled them off.

This season, he's not playing good, as a whole. Period...

I agree he's not playing great ball.. but I strongly believe it's the play calling that is leading in Alex not having rhythm in the passing game. Look at how many times andy has called a ridiculous bubble/trick play netting bad yardage and setting up Alex to fail.. too many third and longs. I truly believe its more play calling.. Alex is sucking but andy needs more blame

You can't count on a return by Berry every week...you can't count on a strip by Peters every week...you can't count on Hill going full-on Gale Sayers every week...that's great when you can get it, but we are fast using up all our special mojo on Sept-Nov...at some point, the offense will have to move the ball consistently. Period. That is on the coach and QB.

I've always held the belief that Alex Smith is an extension of his coach on the field. When Harbaugh was his coach, he was more agressive. With Reid, he's inconsistent. Maybe it's on Reid...but Smith has not looked good this season, on the whole.
