Kobe and Michael never got quite to bill Russell territory

You can't compare 'eras' in basketball. Rules and fundamentals vary so much from each. Jordan was the greatest player of his era. Lebron is the greatest of this one. They're both Top 5 All-Time NBA players. But if I had to pick one to take the GW shot and everything rode on it . . . . . I pick Jordan EVERY time and twice on Sunday. |
Was fun to watch the Cavs rape the Celts and wipe dicks on curtains on the way out.
Never would have put Bron in the same tier as MJ... but damn, has he evolved into just that. |

King loves to play contrarian. Even when we told him and he knew he was wrong.

That Cowherd clip isn't really that great. I don't think we're romanticizing Jordan at all here. I've watched all of these games... I just remember. I think that's a bigger issue than romanticizing... people legit forget things. It happens. The same thing happens every time we argue about Priest Holmes. I provide specific examples every time we have this argument. It's not that that difficult.
Like in that clip... Reggie Miller didn't hardly guard Jordan the whole time... the Pacers rotated guys on him. But when it counted, Derrick McKey would get the assignment. He was 6'9" and an excellent defender. But as always, these arguments are tough because it's different eras. Jordan played when the hand check was legal. Take that away, and he's not putting up some of those shooting numbers listed in that clip. You didn't have to be able to guard him one on one. You could hand check him, and it wasn't a foul. Then if you played him tight and he drove by you... you had some combination of Smits, Davis or Davis waiting in the lane. The Knicks had Ewing, Oakley, Mason, etc. The Pistons had Rodman, Laimbeer, etc. Guys who would just beat the crap out of you. Just like Jordan didn't have to play in a league with the type of athleticism and length we have now... LeBron never played in a league with the rim protectors or physical inside players that Jordan did. It's a different game. Both players evolved to take advantage of the way the game was structured. |
I feel like a Game 7 between Cleveland and GSW is already destined to happen. Unless Cleveland is up 3-2 for game 6 then I think they'll win it at home.

What's crazy about Michael is he quit basketball to play another sport for 2 seasons and is still the GOAT. I mean think about that |
KCC cracks me up.
This is the same guy that bet against Lebron and didn't even consider him a legit contender last year. |
LeBron is in cruise control till the finals. He's just toying with his competition right now.
He isn't Jordan, but he's the next best thing right now. People seem to forget his career isn't over either, he puts together a finals like last year a couple more times, it will be a compelling arguement if he is the greatest. |
he has no competition in the East
baring these other idiot teams getting smart and making a couple super teams (they won't), he's going to keep cake walking his way to the finals for the next 5-10 years. There's nobody in the East. They were debating on ESPN on Friday that Lebron and his Cavs team versus the best team you can possibly make with the rest of the Eastern Conference, an East All Star team without any Cavs, and people still took the Cavs, that's how crappy the East is. |

You Jordan lovers kill me. I can understand it's still a debate but if the Cavs beats GW in the finals that's means Lebron beat a legendary Spurs team and what is considered young super studs team in the finals two years in a row.
Three titles with two different teams against better competition by far than Jordan ever beat. He's Also led his playoff teams points, rebounds and assists. That has never been done by anyone and he's done it more than once. Lebron is the best of all time. |
