Now that money is open. Where will it be used?

Ziggy?

I assume over-priced CBs in an effort to replace Peters.

That's a poor assumption

JFC it hasn't even been settled yet

I'm curious what the other Chiefs players think about trading Peters.

So why is everyone crying?

It sounds like Peters wasn't going to be here after this season. Might as well trade him now and grab the best offer.

Love all these media guys rushing to tweet hot takes without having any knowledge of what compensation was. Just “Peters traded = bad”.

Its pretty amazing to see the battle lines being drawn before anyone knows a single detail

If it was as bad behind the scenes as its starting to sound, and if Peters had no intention of playing here again after next year... then this move HAD to happen right now

Oh ffs. Me, a Broncos fan, can see the stupidity in this tweet. You all don't even know what picks KC got in the trade. It's not like Peters is irreplaceable.

we had Him for 2 more years and then could have slapped the franchise tag on him.

Regardless of the specifics, it's hard to imagine looking back in 5 years and determining that this was a good mood for the Chiefs unless your assumption is that his production is going to drop off dramatically in the coming years. Lock down corners are a pretty rare beast in today's NFL.
