You could see the break just above the ankle in slow mo.
|
Trading for him, and then having him get hurt would've been disastrous
|
Did we dodge a bullet?
|
Clearly this sucks for the Chiefs who were the frontunners to get him, but in past years the 'Because Chiefs' moment would've involved our giving up a 2 and a 4 for him and then his suffering this injury in his first start for us. So I'm going to say things are looking up.
|
Well, we’re back to praying that Eric Berry can get on the field somehow.

wow how fitting

If it’s a broken leg, no we didn’t dodge a bullet. Random shit
If they were serious about trading him and actually had him out there playing they deserve it |

Wonder what other options may exist.
If we end up keeping them, Veach has gotta hit on those ****ing picks. Day one impact players. |

If the leg broke without hitting anything then he may have had a hairline fracture already.

KC will wait for a fire sale team at the deadline.

Just for the story alone this is disappointing. Was interested in seeing how it all played out.

I doubt there's any interest at all in Peterson. I mean there's literally been no talk about him at all.
|
Veach better draft his balls off in '19.

Doubt there’s anymore All-Pros available for trade at this stage.
|
They had an air cast on his foot

Well at least his communications skills aren't broken. |

Again just for story sake I'd love to see how it plays out if this is just a 2 week injury. Seems incredibly unlikely but still would be interesting. |

So we should be able to get him on the cheap now, right?
|
The result is really shitty assuming he's healthy to be traded. AZ missed their FG to take the lead, SEA of course kicks a FG to win. The more they lose the faster they'll want to trade him away. Although maybe now he'll just hold out altogether. Assuming once again he's OK.

Seattle screwed themseves. Now they likely get much less when he leaves.

So, Mr. Wagner. Sucks about your friend getting ****ed over by the Seahawks. I bet you'd like to force your way to a different team.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and it’s not that bad

On the bright side, this dampens his value and anyone's interest in trading for him.
We could essentially keep all our picks AND get Thomas for cheap during the off-season. But of course everything depends on what his injury is. |
