LeBron is 38. He’s on the decline. And yet he’s still playing this well even on a team that flat out quit.
Don’t get the hate. |
It's actually a bit baffling how Lebron only has one ring people actually respect despite playing as long as he has. The two titles from the Heat are fraudulent by the standards of Lebron stans and quite a few don't count the COVID chip.

Of course, considering he's still averaging 30 point triple doubles at his age, he's got more than enough time to jump on board any contender he wants over the next decade if adding up more titles really is the goal. |

Must be nice to have a league cater to you like this. LeBron never had that benefit. |
LMAO Barry didn't increase his credibility with that comment
|
Lol, 'hate'? No, it's just jolly good fun to troll Lebron stans. The fact he's made it pretty clear he's quite bitchmade throughout his career doesn't exactly hurt either.

LeBron is always such a sportsman in defeat. Another reason he’s the GOAT, he acknowledges, respects, understands and appreciates the greatness of other players. |

Jordan and the Bulls, superstar and franchise, had to go through an evolutionary process to become the championship team they eventually would become. LeBron is a douche. And during his peak, prime years he didn't consistently enforce his will when it mattered like MJ did, so I will always choose MJ.
But LeBron got better with age and you absolutely have to give him credit for longevity. |

Mostly it's another power play. It's similar to those short term deals he always signs - he wants the leverage of not re-signing to ensure teams do what he tells them to do. Nevermind that the team didn't start to play well until after they got out from under his LAST round of stupid leverage plays. But yeah, it's an attempt to get a Kyrie deal done. He's telling the Lakers to include Rui or the first or both; whatever it takes - to facilitate a sign and trade of Russell for Kyrie. Lord was Russell awful in this series. Just no sugarcoating that at all. But in the end, Denver is just a better team. LA could've beaten them, but they needed more consistent play from AD (never gonna happen) and yeah, they needed LeBron to be a few years younger. Or maybe turn on the 'go' switch prior to the first half of a game that really didn't even matter much. |

He also wasn't a ring-chasing franchise killer. |
Yup. LeBron is trying to make one last run of it. Brady did the same thing when he left New England for an absolutely stacked Bucs team that had high draft picks for years and didn’t have to pay those guys yet.

And yes Kobe stans did say that he was just as good as Michael which is wild. |
The best way this can end is for LeBron to team up with his dipshit spoiled son, who will suck in the NBA. LeBron tries to carry him and fails. They both get swept in the first round of the playoffs.
I would pay good money to see father and son get embarrassed. |

LeBron james - such a good player that KCC has given him 3 triple doubles in a series where he's had none.
I love how he keeps rounding up. Oh sure, completely petty, but hilarious nonetheless. The series was over after game 2. And yeah, James played a significant role in that loss, KCC excuse-making notwithstanding. That said, after watching Denver just methodically continue to hammer away, I feel like the series may have been over after game 1. I'm not sure LA could've won this thing even with a G2 win. I think they'd have needed to steal BOTH games in Denver, use Game 3 as a giveaway game, throw a shitload at game 4 to go up 3-1, tank game 5 and try to close it out in 6. Denver was just a better team. |
The funniest thing is now the Lakers need to mortgage the tiny bit of value they have left for *checks notes* Kyrie Irving. Also signing him to aax contract to boot I'm assuming.
|
Quote:
Despite being 39 years old and playing on a bad foot, he still managed to average nearly the same line he's been averaging for decades now in these series (a 30 point triple double). Yeah, he can't take on the same scoring load he used to but that's where he needs more help from his teammates and didn't get it in the Denver series. The guy is the greatest to ever play the game and he proves it every time he steps between the lines. |
