But, the Chiefs fan in me would BE HAPPIER THAN hell.

Correct. Alex is not the problem.

Nor is he the solution.

they had to neuter him because he becomes a turnover machine when to passes too much. It's no surprise they started winning again when they relied on Gore and their D.

8-0 for now... we all would like to see him play better... but he's not as bad as you want him to be... and want to portray him to be.

I enjoyed his prolific passing day today. He was slingin' it, baby!

Don't mind the disappearing act for an entire half. That happens.

The defense he was playing, stepped it up and played to their potential in the second half.

Give credit where it is due. Also, Alex Smith missed some passes. But, the Browns defense was intense in the second half.

I am pleased that he isn't Geno-ing it today. Looking like an easy L for the NYJ, if he doesn't get his head right. :p

(Heck even Bowe is invisible about half the time)

Yet he was replaced and they went to the SB.

He may not lose you games but he isn't going to win you games either

Fair assessment.

I think that applies to both of those qbs though.

Watched the game today with a friend who is a casual football fan, and doesn't know my opinions on Smith. He commented several times in the second half about Smith being scared. Kept asking me if that was normal.

First time he has watched the Chiefs this year, I guess.

Going to take a whole game effort like today's 1st half to take advantage of how good the defense is.

Also... becoming harder to argue against the Alex Smith alternative ... Stop gap QB like Campbell and keep the picks probably has KC in the same exact spot as Smith does.

If you are talking about Kaep, no I think he makes big plays to win you games

I dont understand this lack of talent on offense.

We've got Charles and Bowe as the 2 main playmakers and then we have solid contributors like McGrath and Avery and even McCluster has been pretty solid lately.

Alex Smith needs the same shit that Cassel needed... 5 seconds in the pocket.

When the OL started allowing pressure in the 2nd half Alex forgot how to read a defense and find open receivers and stared at the rushers while taking the sack.

He's a ****ing vomit inducer and it's embarrassing we gave up what we did for him when there were probably 2 or 3 QBs we could have got for a cheap FA contract that would have us near the same record as we are today.

we can just agree to disagree. They have completely neutered him since the Colts loss. Went back to playing alex smith ball, relying on the running game, and defense to win games. sure, maybe you can say his runs help......
