and our defense too. I don't think even Jets fans could've predicted the extent of the incompetency Herm would display. In a span of 2 years he's put up both the worst offense and worst defense in the history of this franchise. LOL

I just think that Herm is incompetent, he's proved it in his game management, and he's proved it in the way that he has coached in important games. He reminds me of a poker player who is just content to get in the money, but never wants to take the risks necessary to win (look at the way he managed the Jets/Steelers playoff game two years ago for evidence of that). His lack of calling out the refs for their general stupidity and blindly partisan officiating just shows how conservative he is, if not cowardly. "We are told not to comment on those things." Give me a break. He's making 5 million a year, and doesn't want to risk 25 grand to send a message to his team about will and won't be tolerated? Moreover, even if he would have ripped Nemmers' dumbass, the organization would have most likely reimbursed him for the fine.

You lead by example, and it is quite obvious that the example that this year's team has learned is one of softness (witness the Country Club Camp) and unacccountablity mixed with double speak (as shown by him passing off blame on Solari, deserting his last team, and acting as though he was going to hold players' feet to the fire for their mistakes) This guy is a consummate politician. That's why the media loves him, and he never seems to get results.

Both the Jets and the Chiefs made the playoffs in 06, and technically the Jets aren't in yet this year. :)

My comment is based on the thread TITLE. I would say it's fairly obvious, Herm neutered the offense from day one and not until injuries forced his hand was he willing to change it up. It took him two and half seasons of being one the WORST offensive units in the game-that's inexcusable. Herm was quite content with having his run happy, conservative philosophy stamp of approval all over this team. He's a ****ing fraud, but point well taken..lol.

I shudder to think what godawful mess Solari would have created under these circumstances if he were still here.

Amazing how right these guys were.

Now that is talent. Both O and D incompetence in only two years.
