If you have a crappy D and tons of holes, then you trade guys in these kinds of contract situations for picks to fill holes. That would be the forward thinking thing to do anyways.

He's above average. I wouldn't say he's top 5 at his position or anything.

I think one could argue that Allen isn't even our best DE. IMO Hali is a better all-around DE.

It's a struggle to say... but I'm all for trading his ass. The 4-game suspension I could have overlooked. But now with him saying he'll breeze in to camp without attending the usual summer workouts.... I'm losing hope for him.

It's one thing to be a fuck up and not learn from your mistakes... it's another to be a fuck up and a poor teammate trying to prove you are worth a new contract at the absolute worst possible time.
