We've got a nice start at rebuilding with this last draft, IMO. If Croyle does wash out, we'll pick high again, and have a chance to get one of the best QB's in the draft, along with high picks for other postitions.

Favre would make us better. He'd make us mediocre again, and we all know how that's worked out.

Exactly, bringing Brett Farve here isn't going to even make us a playoff team,so it really wouldn't make much sense to.

So Mecca, it's obvious GB isn't going to keep Favre at his salary this year, but they're refusing his outright release. What does this say to free agent veterans about their organization?

no

Did Favre suffer a loss of oxygen to the brain this past offseason? Unless he did, there is no way in hell he'd want to play for KC. Lets unretire after having a great season and go to a team with weak receivers, an extremely questionable OL and a questionable defense. Plus, Herm doesn't want a gambling gun slinger at QB. Herm couldn't deal with Green, there is now way Favre would fit in.

Yeah... you go ahead being excited about Paul friggin' Hackett.

See how that works out for ya.

I don't see how a Raider fan has a leg to stand on when it comes to a discussion about rebuilding a team. Your team has clearly shown the league how NOT to do it.

Dude has won once at Arrowhead, seems like a good fit.

Sure.... bring on Favre.

Straight up trade - Huard for Favre plus a 7th to GB.

At the very least when Croyle gets his stick body mangled by week 3, we will have someone who can teach Thigpen or next years drafted QB how to play the game.

OF course.... Favre would have to renegotiate his contract.

:D

I think Favre would be a poor mentor to the young guys. What makes him a great QB are the intangibles - and you can't teach intangibles. He doesn't have great technique, and he tries to force things to happen, which often backfires on him. In short, the things he could teach we don't want our young QBs to do, and the things that make him great can't be taught.

I saw a milwaukee reporter on ESPN yesterday, said KC was the logical choice for Favre to end up.An AFC team that would not make the Packers look bad for trading Favre.I'd say no. Rather stick with Croyle, Thigpen and maybe Santos. See how it plays out this preseason.

So, I say yes.

FAX

I was totally against this
until I saw Mr Fax's read on it

Now I want Favre here now

Hey... its too early in the season to determine that. Heck - we haven't even played a preseason game yet....

We've had years to determine that... as far as your team's concerned.

Subterranean Alien 07-13-2008 07:38 AM

After overhauling the entire team, why would they change the game plan?
