I agree. But it's going to take time for Taylor to learn the new position. Moving from left to right tackle requires a completely different approach to playing the position. Once you move him to right tackle, you can't go back--you can't constantly move him back and forth between left and right. It's too much to ask of the guy.

The learning curve would be minimal for Taylor since RT was his position for two years at TCU.

I hate seeing Albert hurt but I do like the fact that Taylor is getting these reps at LT and not totally sucking. Having a backup LT that is functional could save a game or 2 later in the season. If he can do RT too that would be gravy but I'd give Richardson or somebody else the chance to develop into a RT first.

We all knew Mac sucked while playing RT iin SD.

Would you expect different?

He's over 30, a vet in this league that has obviously plateaued (sp?) and won't get any better. It's dumb to start him while we have younger players that need more playing time to get better. I don't mind him as a 2nd stringer, but starting Mac is just a bad idea.

Just makes sense to me to let the guy develop at a critical spot and then move him when need be. The Chief's got no one who has proved they could play LT.....

Because this O Line needs to get some reps together. If Taylor is going to move to RT, than he should do so sooner rather than later because consistency and continuity is what KC is missing...

The same thing happened last season. Players were always moving from one position to the other, and the O Line never had "starters."

I'm good with an O Line of Albert, Waters, Niswanger, Jones, Taylor. But I think that group has to get as many reps together as possible.

I thought I remembered seeing Mac at RT for the Chargers, but according to him and the staff, he has never played the position before.
