WTF man, he's shown more than any other Qb bullshit they put out.

I've been very impressed with him given what he has to work with. He had three passes dropped today and made some good throws. He's started three games and looks much better than anything else the Chiefs have fielded the past two seasons. If he keeps improving I'd have no problem with him as the QB next year (and beyond).

Give credit to Chan Gailey for letting him run the offense he's comfortable in.

Now if the defense can just hold opposing teams under 400 yards and 28 points we'd be on to something.

Go and look at Matt Ryan's first three starts.

Ryan is the exception to the rule you jackass

most rookie starters at Quarterback struggle for a half of season or more.

1st round picks struggle for 8 games ... Thiggy has started 3 games.

you're a douche nozzle of the 1st degree

Call me when he wins a game. His accuracy sucks. The spread offense is a gimmick that has worked for a half in two games so far. That's it.

kcxiv 11-02-2008 03:53 PM

Matt Ryan has a ****ing defense to help him. NOt so much over here.

Thigpen is pretty much left on a island by himself. He has to do it all. Matt Ryan is doing pretty good, but he's a top 5 pick.

Shit i could only imagine what we could do if we had a Ravens type defense with our offense right now.

ummm, err.

Exactly according to his logic by the time the 7th round draft pick that Thigpen is plays his 3rd NFL start he should already be HOF potential.....give me a break Thigpen is looking great for his 3rd game and I am excited to see what can develop here. If nothing develops over the season then fine spend our 1st on a non spectacular college QB, but if he looks solid save it and get some O-line help, etc.

Hell, i would say 80 percent of all NFL teams run some sort of spread offense from time to time. Chiefs arent running it all the time either.

Spread offense in the NFL is not a gimmick. Its hear to stay.

Agreed. That's like holding any QB up against Rothlisberger's first season as a starter. Aikman and Manning sucked at QB when they started but they were good enough to build around. I see a lot of the same qualities in Thigpin. He's mobile, has a strong arm, and seems to be making the right decisions now that they're in the spread offense. His accuracy can be improved on but it's not like he's way off. If he continues to improve he will more than satisfy our needs at QB.

Do we have him signed beyond this year?

Brock are you on the fence with Thigpen now? The reason why ask this because you were ripping him after the Atlanta game like everyone else
