Alva Deck, Independent Trucks with Kryptonic Wheels. I mowed so many lawns and washed so many cars that Summer to buy that board. It was so worth it, best skateboard I ever owned!

Wow, this thread brings back some memories...
I was a huge Caballero fan, and skated mostly his decks. I had a few others sprinkled in, but always came back to Stevie... I had a 4' half pipe in my backyard for a couple years. Eventually tore it down, and started building an 8' ramp. Was about ready to attach the actual skating surface, and the city showed up and shut me down. A neighbor complained, and I couldn't proceed without a building permit. :( An expensive lesson for a high schooler... |

I did a google search and found my exact 1979 Alva deck (re-issue of course). Very Cool, many good memories coming back. |
remember the soft crossbones? AHH, soothing just thinking about them. Slimeball wheels coned to quickly, err was that CB's?

Heh. Got on my board for the first time in 20 years today, due to this thread. "Hey kids! Do you think I can go uphill?"
"Daddy!? No, you can't" "Watch, you punks!" Tack. Tack. Tack. |
