Is that why he's now a legit option? Because I'm having a difficult time understanding the logic.

This switch, if it indeed happens, didn't do anything to alter the value of the players on the board.

Scott Wright says Curry could play inside or outside in a 3-4.

It may not make Curry more of an option, but it would make Brown more of an option, depending on the combine results.

I would still rather have Sanchez, though. :cuss:

true but we got 40 mill baby

If they switch to a 3-4 they'll keep Hali. He seems more built (6'3 270) to be an OLB in a 3-4 which is where I'm sure they would move him, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was successful there.

That's fine. And I'm sure he'll be a solid player in the league.

That said, the mother****er has to be a freak of nature to be taken #3 overall as a backer.

Everything I've seen and read suggests he's not this level of freak. The value on the board didn't change.

Yes he does, and I respect Scott Wright's opinion.

However it is speculation on his part.

He also says "...Pass rush repertoire is limited...Marginal change of direction skills.."

Could be a problem.

He may be built for it, but he lacks the speed for it.

Hali has no place in a 34.

missinDThomas 02-18-2009 10:57 AM

Mayock also said his only weakness is he tends to over pursue, and cutbacks are a bitch for people who over pursue ESPECIALLY in the NFL

missinDThomas 02-18-2009 10:58 AM

Denvers 1 cut and down hill would be a nightmare for a guy who overpursues

Copycat league

yep. I recall when kevin greene was with the carolina panthers and EVERYBODY and their grandmother ran the 3-4. then, it went back to the 4-3... and now it's back again.

I'm sure they'll try him there to see. He's one of the few players on d right now that fits.

Demonpenz 02-18-2009 11:02 AM

I hope we can see hali getting freed up on the outside when we were in a 4-3 he was getting blocked alot

so, if we get curry, we've effectively tied up 100 million dollars (god, I feel like dr. evil saying that) into a 3-4 DE (who aren't high dollar playes) and an ILB for the 3-4 (once again, not your high dollar players--those would be the rushbackers)

that's ****ing reeruned.
