Oh sure, right after I bid and win the one posted earlier this pops up on my radar.

No mario world in that lot but I could have easily traded most of those games in for it.

It does look as if it may have belonged to a smoker though.

EDIT
Good, it ended up going for more than I would have wanted to pay at least. It was sitting at 29.99 when I made this post with 30 minutes left in the auction.

I still have my SNES with Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, Secret of Mana, Super Mario RPG, Mega Man X3 and Earthbound. I'm never letting this thing go. Too many good memories!

Also, I might want to get a N64 when I get more money. There was another system that was a big timewaster for me. Nintendo was gold to me....until Pokemon started expanding more and more and the GameCube got involved.

Get the retro duo instead. I linked it above.

Retro Duo doesn't play Super Mario RPG either :( Something to do with a lockout pin on the actual cartridge that has to be removed and it still wouldn't be guaranteed to run 100%. I don't want to mangle it and have to buy a replacement or a wii.

2 minutes in they cover this. so something must have changed since this video if it is not playing now.

Ok, I think I'm convinced enough to take the plunge. Going on ebay now :) Worst case scenario, I can still play all the other NES and SNES games I have in shoeboxes.

I saw that it wasn't compatible on Wiki > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retro_Duo

Got my SNES in the mail today. It works but there is something banging around inside it. Loose part or something. Emailed the seller and he swears it was not like that when he shipped it. How the heck to I go about getting this taken care of now? I would like to open it up but it requires some weird kind of screwdriver to open it.

How do you make claims with the postal service?

If it works I wouldn't worry about it, those things are solid as a rock. Not worth your time and effort.

The fact that it worked definitely helped how I felt about it. I am more or less concerned with the fact this unit will not be sitting in one fixed place and will be moved around. Just wish I knew what it was that was floating around in it really.

Got the retro duo. Works like a charm. Mario RPG so far is playing perfect.

Please try out Starfox.

I would if I had it :(

I have tested Zelda, Mario RPG, Super Mario World, Killer Instinct (pre-emptive shutup), and Turtles in Time.
