Did anyone ever see that old Twilight Zone with Burgess Meredith where he's this Coke bottle glasses wearing guy that just wants to read books? There's a nuclear war and he ends up the lone survivor. He goes to the library and sees the thousands of books and he's elated because now he can just read without any human contact. But when he sits down he drops his glasses and they smash to pieces, leaving him nearly blind and unable to read.

Incorrect. The laws still stand until you have a special election to replace the legislature and president, and then vote to repeal the laws. And I bet half of CP members aren't even registered to vote, in which case they're really in trouble because they won't have a witness or notary public or whatever to certify their registration.
