I think alot of doctors and highly educated people can be assholes.

That said, there are good reasons they hire people with your skills to do the jobs that you do.

A brain surgeon has better things to do than wiping the nuclear diarhea bomb off of Mrs Felderman's bed.

I'm always averse to hiring "shotty" doctors out of college because their game just doesn't translate well to the pros. You need a doctor who can work from under center.

i was in the hospital one time after surgery, and the piss jug on the side of my bed was completely full. nurses coming in all day long and never emptied it. it was stinking, so i told my wife to empty the damn thing.

some time later, my doctor and a nurse came in for his daily rounds. he asked something about if i was pissing. i said, yes, that my wife just emptied it. then the nurse starts bagging on my wife, saying that my piss was supposed to be monitored and she shouldn't be emptying it. i said the f@cking thing had been full all afternoon and it was stinking up the room, so I told her to empty it. the doctor just about tore her a new asshole in front of everybody.

nurse came back to my room about 10 minutes later, saying she wasn't going to be intimidated by my doctor, yadayada....

f@ck her...i filed a compaint w/the director of nursing. told them i didn't care if she was fired, fined, or whatever. i just didn't want the bitch back in my room.

i was there for over a month...she never came back to my room. saw her several times out in the halls though, usually shooting the shit w/someone.

all i wanted was for someone to empty my piss jug.

There was a "shoddy" attempt to make a "schotty" joke by me early on....but,it didn't take.

She probably posted a thread about asshole patients and arrogant dr.s who think that just because they have a degree to their name they can run over top of those of us who do the 'dirty work'

So by saying shotty doctor, I think she's saying that the doctor likes to hunt. So maybe she means redneck doctors. I've never had a redneck doctor so I can't comment.

In my experience, people who do are reliable, dependable, skilled at their specific job and respectful to their bosses usually aren't treated like shit just because the don't have a degree. I am not saying it doesn't happen, but all you Holden Caulfield's need to focus more on your own performance instead of getting butthurt because a superior got on your ass.

And it is shoddy, not shotty... JFC
