This.

I would agree, especially on the Washington pick, Corner was one of our stronger positions heading into the draft, Where as any O-line pick at that spot would most likely be competing for a starting spot

Actually, you have no factual information that they actually tried to trade down.

I mean, we can only assume that the pick went to the wire because they were trying to make a deal.

I'd say most people here watch atleast the big 12 is there one person that would have been opposed to putting Robinson on this team?

Just a few days ago this was the "best offseason ever". I guess that is over now. :)

I don't think there are many that would dispute that. For a while he was the #1 Guard on a lot of draft boards.

"I told you so" the mantra of the weak minded.

Nah.

They always go down to the wire, save for the first pick.

Keep in mind, 99% of these guys are arrogant ****ing assholes that laugh at us NFL fans.

Have Haley or Pioli EVER mentioned the fans?

Yep. Still feel that way.

Thanks for asking.

I still like bush as opposed to shaved.

Just in case you were wondering about that, too.

If our defense is better this year and in future years and Jackson has a hand in it, then yeah.

Now that we have our scouting staff and personnel department in place, and the coaches have been around the players day in and day out, it will be interesting to see how next offseason goes. This offseason, I'm just hoping they picked up some players to help tighten that D up...

I wouldn't have been opposed to putting a shit ton of O-line guys on this team from the draft, but yeah, guys like Robinson and Meredith would have been two of them. And I liked Ramon Foster out of Tennessee, who was picked up by the Steelers as an UDFA and will most likely make the team as he's been pretty impressive so far.

That's what also chaps my ass - that they didn't go after any OL in the post draft free agency other than a very light in the ass Duke guy. A lot of talent passed them by.
