I'd say a 1st round bust rates higher on the villain scale than a free agent flop. JMO, of course. It's up to Rain Man to cull to the field of 64.

I agree with the high draft pick scenario but Perriman, Carlton Gray, Lott, etc.... that doesn't bother me much. Yea, wasted signings and some $ but no long term impact.

So, to put this in perspective, we are supposed to chose the Chiefs version of Timothy McVeigh?

I can only think of two that despicable. They have already been named and are recently canned.

See, now that's a signing that cost us a huge game.

MAny of the others mentioned never really had a negative impact on a big game.

K.Bell comes to mind.He sucked ass for the $ and hype but he never really cost us a big game.

Does the lack of a positive make a negative?

They took money from the team in alot of instances and also played like crap in the process, I would say that makes them counter-productive, at the very least, but it's not exactly my thing, harping on previous players of the team I dig, so...you pick.

I'm just passin' time, brother.

Ronnie Lott? didn't he sign as a free agent, get injured, and retire?

I think this thread should be titled: Chiefs Players Who's Jersey You Bought And Made You Feel Wrong About It.

at least we didn't end up with samari rolle and his narrow spine.

Just to emphasize that Carl Peterson, Herm Edwards, and the kicker to remain nameless should reign in this thread...

I'll throw one out: Jared Allen. Dude, didn't you see that CP was on his way out the door? Couldn't you hang on a little longer? You WERE our defense, but you got your way and left us draft picks in the hands of the short bus passengers Carl and Herm. Enjoy spending every penny of that $31,000,069 that you got in guaranteed money.

One more: Justin Medlock. The poster boy for Carl/Herm draft fail. 1 game? 1 freaking game?

Lord Almighty help us.

Carl ad been here for 20 years, there was no indication he was leaving. Jared saw the writing on the wall and got out. I put that one squarely on Carl.

If you are going to put Jared in the mix, what about John Tait? Sure woulda been nice to have another O-tackle after Roaf retired.

Hmm. Cant agree with either. They both played well at times.

Law picked off Manning what 3X in that PO loss?

That wasn't on Allen at all. **** him but Carl was the villain.
