I read all the posts... it sounds to me like a bunch of little kids pissing their pants and kicking the dirt because the organization is in transition... well, guess what guys: losing sucks. But we asked for this... and for the time being we have to have patience. I seem to remember the same little kids where jumping for joy in January when SP came to town. I understand that the losing is painful, I'm going through it too... Can we at least not bitch about bryalon freakin' edwards and the Jets... BE is a ball dropping ****ing joke who was just run out of town because he assaulted some one. |
I don't think the deal was that bad for Cleveland. When you're rebuilding, four-for-one is never a bad thing. Yeah, it's a third WR. A ST guy... but a good ST guy. And a 3rd and 5th aren't exactly "low-round" picks, IMO. All for a guy who hasn't done much in the past season and a quarter, a guy who seemed to be a headcase for Cleveland, a guy who didn't want to be there and didn't want to play for that coach.
Seems like a fair deal for both sides. Jets filled a major need which might make the difference between 9-7 and missing the playoffs, or 10-6 or 11-5 and having the #4 WC slot or even winning the AFC East. Browns got four building chips for a guy who was a malcontent. |

I guess I'd rather piss my pants than be a yes person and get in line to suck on the teet of every move Pioli makes and call it "transition". He's made several questionable moves this year and basically wasted a year of the "transition" time because of ignoring the offensive line and supplying his 60 million dollar QB with someone who can protect the investment. It's really like building this huge house in a flood zone and not getting insurance to cover yourself. |

It's about the fact that Pioli traded for his guy and basically hitched his wagon to him. Haley might not care about contract status, but you can damn sure bet that he cares about his boss. |
LeBron runs that town. All would-be usurpers to the throne of King James are sent packing. CC Sabathia wins the Cy Young and is promptly shipped to Milwaukee. Cliff Lee wins the Cy Young and is exiled to Philadelphia. Braylon Edwards thinks he can start a revolution? He gets sent to the maximum security prison known as New York City; he'd best not get on Snake Plissken's bad side.

From the beginning I have agreed that we were probably going to get killed this year and win maybe 2-4 games. But I NEVER asked for a GM to come in and do the following things: 1. Trade a 2nd round pick for a career backup QB. 2. Switch to a 3-4 defense when we don't have the pieces. All while hiring a Defensive Coor. that got fired from his previous team because his defenses were always inconsistent. 3. Draft a 3-4 DE with a top 5 pick....especially when there are two well thought of QBs coming out in the draft. 4. Neglecting the offensive line until the 5th round and signing Goff to start. 5. Signing said career backup QB to a $60 million dollar deal before he even proves he can do anything on this team. |
I lost out on my waiver wire claim of picking up Mendenhall for Edwards. Looks like that might be good news at this point. I needed a strong 3rd WR more than a backup RB anyway.

I don't think anyone is screaming for the guy's head, but he's making a lot of WTF? moves. |

THE RAGE IS MOUNTING.
Great deal for the Jets. And it's starting to really say something around here as every positive story that comes out for other teams is evolving into a negative story for the Chiefs on ChiefsPlanet. I know I'm not like, the beacon of restraint on this board, but get a grip. This is going to be a very long bridge to a respectable team. |
