It's really sad how society has changed. I don't really think there are that many more deviants out there than there used to be, but with all the media oversaturation of anything bad that happens people with kids are just scared to death. I lived at the end a mile long street when I was a kid, would walk up one side and down the other and come back with a grocery bag full of candy, no adults, nothing bad ever happened. Now kids (at least up here) have to trick or treat with their parents during set hours in daylight. What the **** is that? Are we really supposed to assume now that there's some leering child molesting pervert on every block?

Were the 70s really that long ago? :shake:

13 kids total in four groups, which is about twice as many as we usually have.

Someone stole my giant pumkin.

When I find out which of the local HS kids did it, I think I'm going to trick them...by either a car full of live pigeons or maybe a live animal(opossum or something).

I've seen what 3 pigeons will do to the inside of a car in a short afternoon. It looks like an elephant had dysentary in that car.

I had about 30. They ranged in size from tiny and cute, to twice my size. One very large 16-17 year old girl, who had to be carrying around 15 lbs of candy in a sack.

Good point, we used to basically get cut loose to run crazy that night.
I wouldn’t dream of letting my boy out like that now.

3 Groups of Kids / About 8 Total

My neighbors told me last year they had 0 kids the whole night.

Yeah, we've really lost something. Sure wish I knew where it went.

We quit passing out candy about two years ago. The last time we did it a group of questionable teenagers came to my door and while I was giving them candy one of them looked past me and said "nice tv". All I could picture was this turd and his buddies coming back later to take another bigger more electronic treat.

My favorite part of Halloween is going to the store and buying only a bag of apples and some razorblades. When the checkout chick gives me a horrified enough look, I ask her out.

about a dozen. seems like every year fewer kids come. Too bad, I guess.

Not one. But I live in a building with controlled access and very few kids living in it.
