Suffering 4 straight defeats, first of which coming out of your bye, by double digits doesn't say "playoff team"

ROFL Are you serious? Denver has already exceeded expectations by two games.
Stick a fork in them.

I thought they were gonna be shit from the very beginning. They won a fluke game with the tipped pass against Cincy.

Poor ST's coverage prevented the Chargers from winning that first game. But that's part of the game I understand.

My point is that DEN has greatly overachieved and gotten lucky at times this season and it's only a matter of time before they come back down to earth. They're going through a gauntlet of teams in their schedule right now, may lose the next 3 games as well.

So really if you took the Cincy game as a loss, the first SD game as a loss, they'd be 4-6 right now, just a game ahead of us, and we all know how DEN craps the bed in Arrowhead. Then theyre gonna play the Giants and Colts. I bet they finish with a losing record. Kyle "Pro Bowl" Orton sucks.

No I'm pretty sure they still have to play 6 more games.

If you want to take away Denver's 2 Special Teams TDs then you have to take away Sproles Special Teams TD too and Denver still wins that game.

Yeah but Denver sucks, they would have turned the ball over had they been on offense instead of taking one to the house.

Too early to tell... there are 6 games left and anything can happen. This isn't a team that will go deep in the playoffs, but they can certainly win 3 or 4 of their final 6 games... they could easily lose 4 as well.

The game at Indy is the only one that I have no issues saying is a loss.

Giants, Raiders and Chiefs @ Denver... again, anything can happen and the Giants aren't exactly playing stellar football right now.

The Raiders have defeated Cincy and Philly now, proving again that anything can happen. Hell, KC could win at SD... likely won't happen, but who knows?

The games at Philly and KC will be tough for Denver, especially if they don't start playing better.... they're in a bad funk and they need to find a way to get out.

At this point, the playoffs are still wide open. Indy (at 10-0) is the only team with a death grip on their division lead.

NE, CIN and SD all have 7-3 records... Denver is 3-1 vs those teams as well. PIT / JAX / DEN are all 6-4 with the Texans having a shot to get to 6-4 tonight.

Let's say HOU wins... that still has Denver among the 7 best teams in the AFC. PIT may have serious QB issues that could cost them down the stretch, if Ben is out with a concussion, I haven't read any updates on him that say much just yet.

Playoffs have 4 division winners and 2 wild cards... right now, DEN is still only 1 game out of the AFCW lead. Anything can happen.

Six games is a lot of football at this point and while the 0-4 streak sucks, there's a lot that can change. Denver is 5-3 within the AFC and that would be the leading tiebreaker with teams like HOU, Jax, Miami.

They're not done ... but, they sure as hell need to change things this week with the Giants.

I got a headache...

Sorry - it seems like typing "it's still far from over" wasn't getting the point across.

Exactly, I typed that a week ago during another one of the "if this or if that" hadn't happened threads about Denver and wins.

Are the Giants a playoff team? They had 4 straight losses, rebounded last week in OT to end their 4 game stretch and move up to 6-4 overall - tied with Denver. Let me guess... you're going to use "the last few years" defense. Ok, ok... I can use that as well with Denver, this isn't the same team from 2008 and prior. Yes, the losing streak sucks, but Denver has a great shot at beating the Giants.

Unfortunately, I'm going to be offline for the rest of the week... traveling up to Nebraska for Thanksgiving with my sister's family. I won't have much "net" time, so we'll holler back on Sunday.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone - be safe and enjoy the time with family and friends.

Frankly I'm still scratching my head as to why this topic is of any value to us Chiefs fans. As a Chiefs fan I would love to see Denver an elite team as long as we get to a point when we beat their tutus off every time we play them. We are down right now, but how Denver does (as long as they never go to the big dance) is not of much value to me. In fact as long as both teams are rebuilding I want them to do well enough that we pick ahead of them in the draft.

I never bought into the Denver hype, their schedule at the start was ridiculously easy. When the time came for them to step it up against talented teams, they faultered. I think this is definitely indicative of what was supposed to be a great season turned lackluster.

They beat the Chargers in SD... they beat the Cowboys... they beat the Patriots... say what you like, but they beat the Bengals. The Browns and Raiders were in the mix too.

Things have evened out a bit, but the Broncos and Chargers have played nearly the same schedule... the Chargers have played KC once (DEN hasn't yet) and the Raiders twice (only once for Denver). Denver played the Browns and Redskins... both teams lost to Baltimore, PIT and they split their 2 games.

Where was the ridiculously easy part for Denver early on?

And, your last comment... supposed to be a great season? Are you talking about prior to week 1 or after week 6?
