I heard he was going in for a layup and Percy Snow ran him over with a moped.

When Tony G first came into the league, that's how he kept in shape for the off season by playing basketball.

The real worry was that Gonzalez at the time was thinking of trying out for an NBA team to play competitively.

I've had two friends that played D1 football and basketball respectively, injure their patellar, and neither were ever the same after it. They just couldn't get the same drive or push off that they once had. Mobility really suffers. That's too bad for Clady as he had a lot of potential. It could definitely derail his career.

What a change of pace: a GM that doesn't air every piece of dirty laundry in the media.

I had the same type of injury in martial arts, it took me a good 2 to 3 years to recover. My knee pops at times, I'm fully recovered but when it does happen it's like "oh, shit!".

I bet he goes on the PUP and doesnt play till like week 6 or so and then next year is on the block.

Works for me... older, not much gas left, but a nice 'insurance policy' to have around.
