I got my 9 yr old (who had never skated at the time) one for Christmas last year, I went in to the local skate shop and answered questions about skate level, size, weight etc. How much I wanted to spend on it and then we picked out all the components that would suit him, they put the whole thing together on site and I probably spent about $250 or so. Which is a bit more than I wanted but it looks pretty badass and decent quality.
That was last year and he still uses it when we don’t have 3’ of snow on the ground.

I used to have a Gordon & Smith board. Loved that board!

Bennett Pro trucks
Road Rider 4 wheels ( one of the first with encased bearings)

That board was almost a $100 in the 70's..

They now go for $400 on ebay.

I'm still salty I couldn't afford one of these as a kid.

For kids, you need to go for a skateboard that is more stable and has comparatively bigger tires. I gifted my nephew GASACIODS a mini cruiser and we are very happy about it.

It's been a year and it's still as good as new. And it offers extra support for beginners to learn.

Does GASACIODS make the Necro2021 model or is that someone else?

Yeah! Without them, you might be the leading dead thread bumper on CP. How dare they try to take that title from you.

Get a penny board. Once you can ride one of those you can skate on anything.
