We were joking about those exact same obvious observations before the internet.

The more interesting conversation was over whether Gargamel represented the Juden. He had Azreal for a pet fer Chrissakes.

The whole 'cool' trailer is gay as ****

This is how I felt when I saw Zombie's Halloween.

Long ago, I read a brief pitch for a Smurfs movie concept that I loved. The writer's (of that pitch) went back and watched every episode and noted all the little inconsistancies; characters vanishing from the story/world without explanation, characters changing names or characterists without explanation, mulitple conflicting origins stories. Things like that. Apparently, there are a lot.

And the point of the movie was to explain those inconsistencies, to fill in the gaps. It was going to be very tongue-in-cheek, and a little more "adult."

I wish they'd make that Smurfs movie instead. Smurfin' idiots.

I was going to aimlessly bash this film until I discovered that Neil Patrick Harris will be voicing one of the characters.

That's just dandy.

Actually, I think he's IN it. Not just as a voice, but as a person.

I absolutely cannot wait to pirate it, then.
