It's not like they live that far away from you. Why don't you just visit us here in Topeka and do that? On any given day I could drive you around town and drop you off at a location where they are protesting at.

question...are there really a lot of these fruitcakes that go to this church, or is it just a few making a lot of noise? also, how well are they tolerated by the rest of the community?

They're a bunch of insular reeruns with a few outsiders.

It is 2 or 3 families that belong to the church, but they are quite large families that have been indoctrinated for decades. They marry from within the families too (Phelps, Roper, Hockenbarger), I think. I'd say there are about 20-30 people (including young children) who belong to the church.

I went to school with a few of the kids. Very nice individuals, never spoke of their beliefs. I was friends with one of the girls, I didn't realize she was part of the clan until after high school, when I saw her picketing.

No one ****s with them here because their family is full of lawyers.
