Bottom line, both Haley and Pioli have tremendous egos. They were going to end up resenting each other and struggling over credit/blame.

I'll give Pioli the benefit of having to bring him back this year. This was the year to determine if he was the guy or not.

In the end alot of decisions are made on whether or not they will put people in the stands. We on CP knew he shouldn't be brought back, but getting rid of a pro bowl qb the year after isn't a great way to bring in fans.
