Cassel's development is tied to one thing:
A weak schedule. |

Get real. This guy is way too high up in the investigative journalism pecking order to risk his reputation on a couple of throwaway shots at a coach he has no ties to. Robinson's not a bomb-thrower; he's a legitimately connected guy. If he says it, you'd do well to believe it. |
Cassel was Pioli giving Haley enough rope to hang himsel

Both Haley & Pioli have reps for wearing on those who work for/with them. Joining them was like storing matches w/ dynamite. Inevitable. |
Who in the Chiefs PR department is feeding this crap to Robinson?
"Hmm, some fans think Haley got a raw deal. I know! Let's start rumors that it was Haley who wanted Cassel from day 1 and stuck with him. That'll increase ticket sales 7%!!" |
Pioli brought Cassel over and gave him a shitload of money before he played a single down. Matt Cassel was Piol's choice plain and simple.
Tyson Jackson was just another prime example of a Pioli pick. Haley is just a scapegoat in this trainwreck. |

Bottom line, both Haley and Pioli have tremendous egos. They were going to end up resenting each other and struggling over credit/blame. Did someone say ego? /Whitlock |

I'll give Pioli the benefit of having to bring him back this year. This was the year to determine if he was the guy or not. In the end alot of decisions are made on whether or not they will put people in the stands. We on CP knew he shouldn't be brought back, but getting rid of a pro bowl qb the year after isn't a great way to bring in fans. |
