Yeah, it's hard for the pro-Stanzi crowd to feel real good about watching two rookies in a playoff game, when they've been told that "rookies don't start" and how not-ready Stanzi was.

It still shocks me that they went this whole year, playing the likes of Cassel, Palko, and Orton, and never once put Stanzi in just to see what he had.

I agree completely. Its not like there was a downside to seeing how Stanzi played in a game situation.

Nice third-down conversion to end the quarter. This game has actually turned entertaining after a slow start.

Yeah I completely agree. Almost every rookie QB taken has played some football in regular season this year.

Not only is it touch football now, refs can't see anything anymore.

Dylan 01-07-2012 04:18 PM

they can't stop dalton

Sannyasi 01-07-2012 04:20 PM

Houston finally gets some pressure.

JD10367 01-07-2012 04:20 PM

Rookie mistake. Can't take that kind of a sack. Turned it from a possible 3-0 lead and a kickoff, into a scoreless game with the opposition now at midfield.

Dylan 01-07-2012 04:21 PM

no good

FG LMAO

Nugent? he use to play for the Jets -- i think they picked him in the first or early 2nd round LOL

Chiefnj2 01-07-2012 04:21 PM

Wait. A second and fifth round draft pick are starting in the playoffs? That's allowed? Good thing they weren't drafted by KC where rookie QB's have to sit.

Dylan 01-07-2012 04:23 PM

a draw play on 3rd down????

As bad as we've had it, I don't think I'd want to go through what the Texans did to end up starting their 5th rounder today?

Just like Roethlisberger, Sanchez, and most successful rookie QB's... to be fair, Yates is playing with one of the best rushing attacks in the league, #1 in rushing attempts, tied with Denver's 1937 offense and well clear of any other team. They almost had two 1000 yard rushers. Not to mention one of the best defenses in the league: 4th in points, 2nd in yards.
