I love the idea of Manning in Denver.
The AFC West needed a return to the era of quality high stakes football. And just having the name Peyton Manning does that to our division.
The move by Denver will ultimatley make us more competitive.

I hope we **** them up good.

TJ's post clearly states that kc approached Manning with money FIRST and that rubbed Manning the wrong way. Elway approached Manning with a team first attitude and a "who are we" approach and Manning liked that. Once he felt comfortable with the team, then he discussed money.

It was, Pioli did attempt and sent an offer first, PM was pissed it didn't play out his way. Clark knowing that PM liked KC, thought they had the inside track with Tom Condon. It didn't turn out that way, Clark spoke to PM, PM told him they would speak again, but that never happened.

One of the points that Keitzman was trying to make, it seemeed to be an important story that was missed when people were trying to figure out where Manning might go when he was a free agent.

This was one of the many things PM liked, the Denver area and having friends he already knew there. Manning & Helton's wives are close .... was another turning point.

We all knew in time all of the reasons would eventually come out.

Me, nope, I was 50 / 50 either way not knowing his injury. But getting rid of Cassel was intriguing.

So one would have to ask, if having a 70% Manning better than a 100% Cassel ? Look at the $$$ Denver paid for a questionable Manning?

Oh absolutely not. Just look at all these angry posts telling you they aren't.

Are you happier with the $$$ KC pays for the unquestionable Cassell?

In a word ? No! We have a career back up starting.

Would a 70% Manning be very lethal with our team, Yes! It didn't work out and IMHO, I think it has more to do with Scott Pioli & Tom Condon than it did Manning.

Oh well, it's on now, the rivalry just got nastier now for some Chiefs fans.

Manning going to Denver proves only that Denver satisfied the largest percentage of his need factors. No more, no less. No insult to any other team or city.

Potential to win, front office/coaching staff, facilities, salary, environment conducive to his wife and kids, comfort level, friends in town, and whatever else he factored in.

Yeah, if he's 32. He's not. Denver needs several pieces.

The 49ers are loaded. If he was serious about a SB, he'd have gone there.

I think Manning has forgotten he'll be 37.

I heard that the Chiefs went in talking money first (even made the first offer), whereas Peyton wanted to talk money last, and talk programs and ideas first. What I heard was that while money was obviously important, he didn't want to lead off talking about money and turn it into a bidding war. Instead, he wanted to get to know the people and organizations involved, and then once he found the right one (or two), THEN talk about the money.

My sources say you're an assbag.
