My wife and I had 3 miscarriages. I know the feeling. The only positive is that enduring something like this will bring you closer as a couple. Just hug each other a whole helluva lot these next few days.

My sister had to deliver her almost full term child, stillborn. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you and your wife. God bless you, your wife and all of your children.

That's awful news. God bless that little baby and your family.

Awful man. No words to help.

Speechless. Positive thoughts coming your way.

Thank you everyone, it means a great deal.

My wife is the most incredible person I've ever met. Her strength today really helped me. I'm staying strong for her on the outside, but on the inside right now I'm in rough shape.

I wish delivering the baby didn't have to happen, but we will get through it.

Doctor said there's no rhyme or reason for why it happened and it shouldn't hinder us in the future. We will take some time, evaluate how my wife is feeling and decide over the summer if we want to try again.

Last week, we got a call Friday afternoon saying blood test #2 did not come back great and that our risk for down syndrome increased significantly. The genetic counselor said she would explain it all to us in an appt. on Wednesday.

My wife had an appt with her ogbyn today. He explained to her that sometimes that test has a false positive and he's rarely had a positive 2nd test really indicate any problems.

Well, he went to check the heart beat today and there wasn't one. They did 2 different ultra sounds and nothing.

Tomorrow the wife will be induced and deliver the deceased baby. This is likely going to be the toughest day of my life and I know it will be hers and would appreciate some prayers especially for her.

Thanks everyone.

This happened between my 3rd and 4th kid.
Left the doctor's office with a possible later date to induce deceased labor Wife curled up in the car and basically delivered it in the passenger floor. The pain and feeling of not being able to do anything was unbearable.

I had to carry her to the bedroom from the garage downstairs as she couldn't walk.

Feeling for ya.

And as far as those false positives. We've had them for 3 out of the 5 kiddos. ours was a hole in the brain that could be an indicator to down syndrome. Sometimes I think they actually have it.

That's a rough pill friend.

There have been things like this in our family and it's always awful. Nothing to really say that will help you except that I truly am sorry for you both.

Thoughts going your way

Frank, I'm so sorry to read this. This is just devastating, and I can't imagine what you and your wife are going through and what tomorrow will be like.

It's so awesome to read the encouragement of many on this board who have gone through what you are going through...it's one of the things I love about this board.

Anyways, for what it's worth, my prayers are and will continue to be with you and your wife through this time. Blessings, man..
