The total talent on our our offensive line got better, which is better than 1 step back and 1 step forward. maybe after negotiating with Miami Albert realized that his market value wasn't as high as he originally thought |
Also have to wonder what Albert's feelings are now. He was put on the market and no team wanted him to play LT bad enough. His value apparently isn't very high if only 1 team truly wanted him and for only a 3rd round pick at that.
Chiefs have the power now. Albert isn't a commodity at the LT position and he's now forced to go to camp to fight for his position. He doesn't like it? Fine. Hold out and lose a t on of money. |

So we move Albert to guard and draft Jake Matthews next year.

God damnit I wish we would have drafted Barret Jones...guys gonna be a great center in this league....plus he plays every other position on the line.
Albert Schwartz Jones Hudson (put him back at G where he was an AA in college for 2-3 yrs) Fisher |
I'm glad he's staying. I still think if they'd have negotiated in earnest he could have been locked up before now. I think both sides have had to swallow a bit of pride in this deal.
|
I'd be delighted to have him remain a Chief. This whole thing was just a tiff and we're one big family.
|
Well I'm kind of glad we turned down that third for Albert. Then we took the best player on our draft board.
What else do you want them to do? |
We have some depth on this line now, with actual decent players in the backup spots. Players can be moved interchangeably if anyone gets injured. I like.
