That sign has probably found a lot of suckers.

I clicked the wrong one on my phone, we are a dinner-ish family. Thanksgiving is just my sister's family and my parents because my brother is a dick and does it with friends.

3p-4p everyone starts showing up. Dinner around 5p. Bunch of lunch weirdos in here.

Frazod 11-26-2013 07:16 PM

We're doing it late this year to accommodate everybody's schedules, but I voted for early, since that's when it should be.

Around 10am is when the buffet opens. Since I have no where else to go. Too far to travel and work Friday.

Sometime between 1 and 2 PM. Like afternoon Sunday dinners growing up. And like Europe does their main meal. Yes, this is dinner--not lunch. Lunch is more like a snack. Half a sandwich and a cup o' soup. Or a salad.

Referring to turkeys and hams, this is actually the reverse. They are always cheapest this time of year prior to the Thanksgiving and to a lesser extent on other holidays.

Sometime between 2:00 and 3:30

Linner.

It was always a noon meal for me until I started working nights. Now it is closer to a dinner meal so I can get my sleep in.

EDIT

But I feel normal is lunch not dinner. So you are the insane one.

TripleThreat 11-27-2013 03:52 AM

Appetizers and drinks all day and then dinner around 6 ~ 7.

Munson 11-27-2013 07:30 AM

Thanksgiving LUNCH.

I don't think everybody can wait until dinner time to start feasting.

whoman69 11-29-2013 09:10 AM

Call me crazy, Thanksgiving lunch. I don't think there's any great tradition of Thanksgiving dinner.

ILChief 11-29-2013 10:35 AM

I have a double header every year

mlyonsd 11-29-2013 10:50 AM

Growing up the tradition at Grandma's house was lunch, then she'd bake fresh rolls to make cold turkey sandwiches and we'd pull out the tv trays to watch the cowboys and redskins beat the hell out of each other.

Important issue--

Since I was a kid, my family has always had a Thanksgiving DINNER, as it should be. But most people I know think we're freaks. And also that we aren't doing Thanksgiving correctly--that it should be at lunch, which I think is crazy and should be banned.

When do you eat your "Thanksgiving meal?"

dude, just dude.... you always eat the Thanksgiving meal in mid to late afternoon so anywhere from about 2pm to 4pm, and then you have dessert around the usual supper time (6pm) or so.

get with the program.
