ROFL Good point.

You also don't need to be an expert to realize that winning in the NFL is rarely about surprise plays and almost always about execution.

They highlighted that point exactly on NFL prime time.

The first TD by Indy. We have everything covered in man to man. Demps is suppose to stay on the running back Brown. He sees Brown blocking and decides to rush Luck. He rushes to the right, Brown slips out a yard or two and Luck dumps him the ball. Demps is 10 yards away from the ball.

Demps does his job we are off the field. Instead they have a TD.

It sure seemed like it. But I don't think so. I think the players, just like all the no show fans that day, knew it would be meaningless.

They played as vanilla as a preseason game

OrtonsPiercedTaint 12-31-2013 12:10 AM

Whitlock is gone so they went to another one of those tuperware like sex parties. I am sure KK is on the case though

It sure would piss me off if we did hold back. AT the kickoff of that game we still had a shot at winning the division. Hell, the Broncos didn't take control of their game until almost the 4th qtr. The Chiefs played dominant on both sides of the ball for the first 5-6 minutes then just laid a damn egg.

I think a couple of injuries, a poor crowd mostly due to the shitty weather and just basically an all round crap performance in which we really didn't even appear to be trying at any stage of the game. So the fact we lost whilst playing shit is a lot more comforting than if we had lost playing well. I reckon Andy started to hold back a few plays in the 2nd half.

It was a very strange game, we put them 3 and out on the their first drive and then have an epic Charles spearheaded drive and TD with our first possession. Then we just went to sleep...very strange. Almost as if by the ease of the first score, we thought it was going to be a walkover and let our guard down.

In a dome with everyone back and a lot of our starters rested, it might just be a different story, not a blow story but certainly a game worth watching.

I don't know if Reid was holding back but it sure seemed like the players were half-assing it.

mrub4 12-31-2013 11:20 AM

Players definitely seemed to half ass it. Hopefully Sutton will well utilize the 40 minutes of Colts offensive game tape (or, offensive Chief's D game tape) they got.

Does anyone else recognize how absurd that sounds?

Here's what really happened. The Colts came in with a good defensive game plan that our coaches and players didn't adjust to very well. Period.

:stupid:

Obviously.

beach tribe 12-31-2013 11:34 AM

No. We came out and played a stinker.

The Colts took away Charles in the passing game and no one else stepped up. No pressure on Luck and we got picked apart.

tyton75 12-31-2013 11:43 AM

Either we held back or the coaches called the shittiest game of the season. Charles had over 100 yards on what.. 12 carries?
