So...the NFL has planned that some "big names" will be injured and removed from games this weekend and they leaked that to prepare viewers?

O-K...because leaking the info prior to it happening would be a good way to cover up that they have rigged the games by planning fake injuries....:tinfoil:

LMAO

Bill Simmons brought up a good point in his column this week. Last weeks' Chiefs game might be the day we draw the line between old football and new football. Now it's going to be hanging over every playoff game.

Why is shit like this coming out AFTER we lost three players during a playoff game due to...

concussions?

Dunerdr 01-11-2014 07:06 PM

Wow this has turned into a real shit fit. I like the dig at Cosmo and not believing in letting people make decisions for themselves. From what little time I've ventured to D.C. That is his political view. However he's definitely got the better argument. Maybe the player should be checked by a few doctors I'm going to say 3. Just to bury this rigged talk. A team dr. An nfl dr, and a local dr. If there's any disagreement on the diagnoses the player can return. But only if two dr's rule in his favor. And he's signed a waiver.

Maybe you should read the entire thread before posting and if not at least post #61

Concussions created by big trial lawyers and the players union. Players can call in sick when they are playing hookey and trial lawyers get rich. You do the math:D

Well, that is ridiculous, but we're obviously not talking about someone making personal choices for himself. We're talking about an employer who is paying an employee and has a right to protect its interests both in terms of its investment in the player in keeping him healthy for the good of the team as well as liability issues.

What I find funny is that we are obviously used to things like knee injuries in football. If the team sits a player after he hurts his knee, no one raises a stink about it being the player's decision when to return.

I'm ****ing sick of this. We are all standing in the way of this problem being handled better. The problem won't be solved, but it can be made better.

"Heads up" is a great direction. Teach kids how to tackle properly, teach them to use their equipment properly, and recognize good coaches who teach good habits. Even THAT is being questioned for its motives. Why? Because people want something to complain about.

The NFL needs to keep backing "Heads up." They need to start enforcing helmet and mouthpiece rules. And they need to keep fining players who lead with their head. Simple solutions. But right now, it's really us fans, our crazy legal system, and the player's union that are getting in the way.

I like heads up.

So, were the big names knocked out yet? If not, I imagine there's got to be some nervous Broncos and Chargers out there.

BWillie 01-12-2014 01:14 PM

Shark Lavey signed a waiver and played his ass off

I read. And what you're saying still makes no sense. But then again, you're one of the NFL conspiracy nuts so it makes sense.
