Is that pass going to be the Baldwin version of the behind the back catch?

Weird. That usually doesn't happen until game 3. Ive always thought starting QB's should play longer in preseason. I have always wondered how GMs can evaluate receivers and linemen with a couple of dregs slinging the rock. At least if your starting QB is throwing the ball, you can eliminate horrendous passing as a factor with your receivers.

Nah usually in game 3 they will come out and play the first series after halftime.
He is not playing that much more than he normally would. Maybe one or two extra drives, probably one. He would normally play into the 2cd quarter anyway in this game. The way everyone looked last week they all need the work. We are using a lot of inexperienced players and have some close battles that the coaches want to see just a few extra snaps where it is all the ones or to help determine who is or is not going to be the starter.

Usually a starting QB doesn't play an entire half until game 3 or 4...

He played until half of game 2 last year against San Fran.

In the 2cd preseason game by playing until half time he is not really playing much more than he would normally as he would play into the 2cd quarter anyway in the 2cd game of the preseason.
Normally in the 3rd preseason game the starting QB will play through the first offensive series after the half.
The 4th preseason games starters play the first series of the game and then the teams play all the backups that are close to making the squad.

This shit is going to happen all year long.

Shit line + no receivers other than Bowe + hugely difficult schedule = ALEX DIES HORRIBLY

So, now you're saying that Alex Smith would be successful if we had a good offensive line plus better receivers? Noted.

If you keep talking and saying the same thing over and over again it becomes true. - C.E. Wendler
