But I do have a deer hunting question for bow hunters. When you shoot at a deer w/ a bow and arrow. Does it spook the deer generally, provided you missed him/her? Or are there often times if you miss them they won't even flinch or respond to the miss, because they didn't notice?

I don't deer hunt - neither did dad - Dad would only bird hunt.

Does anyone know?

Most times they will run if the arrow makes noise as it enters the ground. If the arrow stays quiet, sometimes they won't notice it
