If they did, then disregard this...but today on Colin he said that when SF was courting him as their new head football coach, Jim HIMSELF floated rumors about SF offering him over 7 to other teams interested in him (the Dolphins being 1 team) to drive the price up and the rumors got so out of hand that random people were being asked about the situation by journalists under the assumption that they were Jim's agent when they had nothing to do with it whatsoever.

He ended up taking just over 5 per to coach SF.

I'm not reading it that way. I'm reading it as... Jim harbaugh is still coaching the 49ers. As long as he is coaching them, it's bad form to say he's looking for other jobs while the season is going on. I think he's playing the game of letting people know he's in the market even though he can't actually say he's on the market.

It's possible but I don't think he'd just randomly throw out specific numbers if there wasn't an actual deal on the table. It would be too easy for the University to deny.

I do think he'd be perfectly willing to use Michigan's offer as leverage in NFL negotiations and even suggested that in my thread last night, however.

The weather isn't the only thing. Michigan is like the colon of mid-America with Detroit being the sphincter. I hate that state is just sucks all the way around.

It is one of the dirtiest states in the nation. Detroit is so bad that the city cut services to a big area.
