I have mentioned this in the forum before. That was the first NFL game i ever saw - maybe even the first Super Bowl televised in Canada. I randomly picked the Chiefs to cheer for on that day - and have been cheering for them ever since! AND it was my 14th birthday.

Nope. The first Super Bowl I remember watching was Montana vs Dan Marino.

I'm a superbowl baby, if you do the math you can get guess my birthday within a couple of days.

I was 9 at the time and we had moved up to NW Iowa from Lawrence in '67. We were the ONLY Chiefs fans on our street and my dad placed a lot of friendly bets with the neighbors, who despite the previous year's Super Bowl did not take the AFC seriously and were rabid MN fans.
Beating the Vikes was sweeeet. I remember jumping up and down in celebration at the end of that game. I still remind the many Viqueens fans up here that we have more Super Bowl victories than they do. The first one vs. GB I have zero recollection. Too young I guess. |
I was less than 2 months old.

I was six years old. For a long time I thought maybe I saw it, because I remember a friend of my dad's coming over to watch an important game of the Chiefs. But given where we were living at the time, I don't think the timing was right. I was aware of the Chiefs and called myself a Chiefs fan, but for the most part I had no idea what was going on.

I remember it like yesterday. Sitting in my highchair, pooping my pants, then getting pissy and throwing my baby bottle onto the kitchen floor.
45 years later & nothing much has changed. |
