Exactly why I'm excited about him.

Dorsey himself has been hyping this guy up quite a bit for a guy that's an UDFA with a mere one preseason game under his belt. The last time I heard him talk about a guy that hasn't done shit like this was Kelce coming off of his injury.

I'm wondering if that means he'll start practice when they break training camp and come back to Arrowhead?

Who knows? It sounded like an open ended response.

At this point, the safe bet would be Houston returning Week 5 against the Raiders after the Bye week.

If he's not ready then, his season is probably up in the air.

If he doesn't practice in the preseason at all, I'd think week 5 is still pretty early.

I don't know. The guy played a handful of snaps in one preseaon game and he has been basically penciled in as a starter by a bunch of people here all off season. I haven't heard any hype from the front office either though it's obvious they think he was worth keeping around when he got hurt.

Yeah, after listening to it, pretty vague. Seems they either aren't sure or don't want to give the info.

The more I think about Conley's trash stats the more worried I get.

In 16 games with only one receiver to really compete with he caught 17 passes. He was targeted 31 times. He caught one touchdown. 199 yards. And word around the Chiefs is Conley looked terrible in mini camp. That’s without pads, the time when receivers are supposed to shine. (see: Tyreke Hill)

Sylvester Morris' rookie year was 48 catches for 678 yards and he was a "bust"*. Bowe had 70 catches for 995 yards and he was “bad”

*injury I know. But at this point the smart money is on Conley is never our #2 wide receiver, I don't care what his measurables are. You have to create separation, catch the ball, and demonstrate that you're a gamer.

I'm worried.

Link that's not just coach-speak?

There's been plenty of mention by Dorsey about his abilities and it was reported that he did well in the offseason.

Either way, I hope it's either March, Wilson or the UDFA from Florida State that starts next to DJ.

Mauga is a lump.

A yahoo reporter who's name I can't remember came to camp last year and said people in our front office were conparing him to Bart Scott (that sounds like a comparison that originally came from Sutton who coached Scott in NY).

Dorsey himself said he was the most impressive player in camp last year.

Sutton said he has fantastic instincts and got his hands on a lot of balls without many opportunities.

Do we really want a MLB who "gets his hands on alot of balls"? I mean, I tend to sway toward the liberal side..but man.

Kiimo 07-26-2016 03:41 PM

He can get his hands on as many balls as he wants, provided some of them are footballs thrown by opposing teams.

Unless Houston starts on the PUP, and then he'd have to six out the first six weeks.

I am also worried about Conley, having not gotten a lot of glowing reports. Then again, I feel like that was all coming from TJ Carpenter, who is a massive douchenozzle.

Not saying it isn't accurate, just that TJ Carpenter is a douchenozzle.

I'm quietly excited about Robinson.

Yeah, he's kind of a downer sometimes.
