If you eat fast food you have to.

It doesn't matter where, what time, it's A MUST.

Hit something like this in San Fran. Walked in ordered via touch screen, paid with CC, printed reciept with number, grabbed it when called and left. 10x faster than those ordering at the counter.

Yep.

I order Panera on their online ordering system. It's super easy to use and Panera has way more options and possible complications, still a breeze. I just pick up my stuff when I get there and it's ready for me.

There is no reason they couldn't implement something in store for fast food restaurants. My order would be correct more often, it would be faster, and it would probably allow places to lower the cost of their food.

I haven't tried any fast food ordering system like this but I don't eat fast food often. I did get the Starbucks app because they had a free drink offer for signing up. And it was close to my birthday so that was another free drink. It was pretty cool. I used it a few times. I made up my drink on my cell phone at home. By the time I got to the place the drink was either just finished or almost finished.

Really? No old people blocking the line? No mothers with 5 kids being completely oblivious to the rest of the world? No Mexicans trying to put crumpled dollar bills into the dollar sucker upper?

I don't remember the last time I actually ate a meal at McDonald's. Last summer I was in Sacramento visiting my sister, who happened to live right near one at the time. I grabbed a breakfast meal just to see if maybe a big city McD's was better than my rinky dink small town McD's. It was a combo with two of the muffin sandwiches in it and a hunk of potato patty. I was able to eat one of the muffins and then gave the rest to a homeless guy that was sleeping out behind the drive through. That one muffin gave me McQuickShits and McGurglyGuts for the rest of the day.

2008 was the last time I did McDonalds. And I didn't want to do it then, but my inlaws made the choice.

My kids used to pester me to go to Mcd's when they were little. I told them the food was shit and that they were just used to it, that they had gotten used to getting the same crappy food each time, and that they were more attracted to the notion of McD's than the actual food. So finally I refused to take them for a period of time. I don't know-something like 30 or 90 days. During that time I fed them almost nothing but homemade food. Maybe a few stops at places that had tasty food here and there. When I finally took them to McD's again they were horrified by how shitty it was and couldn't finish their meals. One of them actually said, "The only thing on my burger with any flavor is the pickle...and it's a bad flavor."
