Clark will be writing checks for Reid and Dorsey as quickly as he can reach for a pen.

As long as the team keeps winning, he could be around for another 10 years.

I sometimes wonder if guys like Alex and Reid are going to ultimately be remembered as 49ers and Eagles or if they will be primarily remembered as Chiefs.

Reid will be remembered for both.

Smith's legacy will be defined by what he and the Chiefs do in these next couple of years, including postseason play.

Would be my #1 guess. Packers' fans praise Ron Wolf. I can't fathom this not happening. The feeling around the area is that Ted Thompson hasn't been good enough of late, but his contract is through the 2019 draft. So, Thompson would have to either step down, or the Packers will watch Wolf go elsewhere. Rumors are that Thompson is considering stepping down into a lesser role, but we shall see.

Would absolutely choose Dorsey over Reid if it comes down to one or the other.

Andy Reid the OC reduces the value of Andy Reid the HC.

I agree with this, but I'd rather they both stay.

Reid makes mistakes. He isn't perfect.

But he's 22-4. He won the first playoff game since the 1993.

Asking for perfection is just a little too much, IMO.

Every coach makes mistakes, including BB.

Andy Reid can extend quite a ways.

About an acre. If you pound him out flat.

Tombstone RJ 01-08-2017 08:56 PM

Just fill the feed trough and push it over to Andy. He'll sign.

Reid the HC has still took us to the playoffs 3 out of 4 years including a playoff win and a #2 seed.

His "failures" as an OC dont even make a small dent in his coaching resume.

If he wins the Super Bowl, give him a 30 year extension

If he doesn't, FIRE HIM AND DUMP HIM INTO THE SEA

Of course we have no idea how much that goes on upstairs is down to Reid. Everyone around here wanted to think Reid was pulling the strings a few years ago. Has that changed? Was it ever the case?

I'd rather just keep both. For as much suck as we as hardcore fans have witnessed, it amazes me how little we appreciate guys who radiate the opposite. Reid has done literally nothing but win everywhere he's been -- yes, not a Super Bowl, which is close to impossible with QBs like McNabb and Alex Whiff, but only a few coaches can sniff his resume -- while Dorsey appears to be a top 5 type GM in the moves he's made.

Why in God's name people think either or both moving could be even remotely positive is beyond me. Short of Clark somehow wooing Belichick or 1 or 2 other guys over, we would downgrade instantly.

All that said, neither is going anywhere. We gave Dorsey his first and big chance to be the boss. And he's done a heck of a job showing his stuff to date, but will have unfinished business short of a miracle and unlikely run the next few weeks. And Reid clearly looks happier and more settled than he's ever been. I don't think he'd leave for anything quite honestly. Money? A challenge? What? He's got it right in KC. Short of the mullethead idiots who would prefer we go back to the days of Herm Edwards or Todd Haley.

I somewhat agree in that I think Dorsey is a better GM than Reid is a head coach.

However, is it easier to find a good GM or a good HC? I think evidenced by the fact that the average lifespan of a head coaching job is much less than that of a GM, I'd say good head coaches are more rare, or at least their faults are more difficult to hide.

If Dorsey leaves, we're promoting Ballard. It's a question mark, but Ballard is probably the best shot any team has at hiring a good GM. If Reid leaves, we get... some asshole? Toub wouldn't be bad. It could get
