Have there been accidents because of the speed of that residential street. That aerial pic doesn't represent topography which is a big factor in visibility through a curve. But I have to admit it doesnt look blind except the construction trucks in front of houses. It will be hard to get more restrictions if there inst a history of accidents.
Where the hell does one get a radar gun? I have a radar but its for shooting arrows through. This is the proper way to slow them down. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...7edbbfa23b.jpg |
Made me think of this episode of Family Guy...

I have no issue with someone doing this. Neighborhood roads are not the place for speeding. This is a reminder that I'm sure is a deterrent for many. And it's way, WAY less annoying than speed bumps would be.

Get some signs man.
When I was a teenager pointing a radar gun at me like you're doing would have got you some donuts cut in your yard in the middle of the night.:D |

Those dammed neighborhood and homes associations never remember to put a clause in restricting residents from being anal douches. You bought the house with speed limit signs up, you should live with them. If you have a problem with people driving in an unsafe manner you should contact the city, if not tell the neighbors not to allow their kids to play in the street.
And for the radar gun, they should have those restricted from use, by non law enforcement, in the sub division by the next board meeting. Now go close your garage door and turn your required sprinklers on, your grass looks brown. |

I'd bet he would be out in 60 days with a whole new attitude. |
i would be pissed if some house resident was pointing a radar gun at me. its bad enough the road pirates are pulling that shit all the time. If I saw a resident pointing a radar at me I would probably make it a point to drift that curve every time i went around it. Maybe lay some posi tracks in front of your house a few times a month.

We have some really curvy roads here in Independence, like Blue Ridge Blvd. Many of the homeowners have put big blocks of limestone across the front of their yard, or concrete poles in a picket across their property so a car won't come flying into their house. You may need to do the same thing to protect yourself.
