Seasoned browned taco meat, refried beans, an appropriate shredded cheese, burrito tortillas, a thin tomato sauce that you favor. Cut the tortillas into strips about one inch in width. Make a 'lasagna' with the ingredients. The first layer will be tortilla strips and sauce followed by beans and meat with cheese on top. Continue building each layer like that until you reach the top of the casserole dish. The top layer should be tortilla strips, sauce, and cheese. Put in an oven at around 375 degrees until the top layer is somewhat dry and the cheese is bubbling. Take it out and allow it to cool. Top it with dollops of sour cream, sliced black olives, chunks of fresh tomato, and finely chopped green onions.

I do this sort of Mexican lasagna type casserole with some small differences. I tend to use enchilada sauce and no tortilla strips. Sometimes some Jalapenos or diced chiles in there.
I think Tooge's cheeseburger type casserole sounds interesting
