I feel like the news stations realized the Chiefs matter again so it's time to **** with them for ratings.

It would be great if there were some type of "Anonymous" for hire. Do a little CP fund drive under the guise of a server, and then do a little serving.

Yeah, because this would never happen anywhere else, except, ya know, it actually does...

Looks like a Frank Lloyd Wright home. There are quiet a few in the KC area. It probably isn't or the realtor would have advertised it and jacked the price accordingly. Mission Hills Sunset Hills really all those subdivisions in that area are JC Nichols developments. They were build to suit and architects all had different ideas. Wright home were popular and copied. This one looks like it was built for an elderly person all on a single story floor plan no steps. Maybe Pat doesnt plan to live in it since he has a plaza condo.

One of the news channels gave his address, which is an extremely shitty move

srvy 05-01-2019 07:40 AM

Also I remember when the Star would have articles about people all over the city driving there kids to Mission Hills to Halloween trick or treat at the Ewing Kauffman, Russell Stovers, Sutherlands and Halls mansions. I thought that was bullshit at the time.

There's still the 1% E-tax regardless where you live and "entertainers" are subject to a 2% tax on money made in Misery. I believe the state income tax is still lower than in Kansas. In addition, if you work in Mo. and live in Ks., you have to pay income taxes in both. The property taxes would probably be much higher in Mission Hills.

Also Sunset Hills surrounds Kansas City Country Club golf course in Missouri.

Mission Hills CC is in Kansas in said subdivision.

The more exclusive was KCCC as they used to be very picky who could join along with the famed KC CC meeting hall in Downtown KC.

Didn't Tom Watson refuse the invitation to Kansas City Country Club because of their exclusion policy?

Yes his then wife was Jewish and they didnt allow at one time.

oldman 05-01-2019 07:55 AM

That's right, I didn't remember the wife was Jewish. Meadowbrook was his "home" course for quite awhile until they built the National in Parkville. BTW, Meadowbrook is gone now.

You’re partially right.

The KCCC refused entry to a Jewish businessman.

Tom’s Dad (whom I caddied for a number of times) was a long time member at KCCC, and so was Tom. Tom’s golf instructor was Stan Thirsk - Head Pro at KCCC. Tom left KCCC when they refused to admit a Jewish businessman in KC - 1990.

The KC CC new how to keep the what they thought as riff raff out.
