Any clue as to what it would cost to get him?

Redbled 07-25-2019 09:44 AM

First visit Cleveland.

Man I hate them.

Going to depend on years and what the other offers are..

If he really has 7 teams showing interest if you only want to do 1 year you're probably looking at 5-6 million.

You might be able to mess with some numbers more if you go more years but he's been injury prone as of late so that's risky.

I'm not a fan of the 1 year deals so i'd always go for atleast 2.

2 years 14 mil with like, 8 gtd too much?

I’d be tempted. You could play hardball with Jones. I can’t ever see paying him anything close to 20 mill per year. I see his sack numbers going way down and more of a rotation mind set.

It's also possible the Chiefs are showing interest as a leverage move with Jones, but in reality this guy as part of the rotation does make the line better.

Dorsey drafted the guy. Of course he’s going to see him first

Yea that John Dorsey guy, he kinda doesn't suck at his job.

IMO that's why he's visiting them first. He knows he'll probably get the highest bid from Cleveland then he can use it for leverage in talks with any other teams. If KC is really interested in him and the money is similar I think he'd choose KC.

Some of this is going to depend on how much he weighs winning and money, Cleveland can pay the most but they aren't nearly as close to being a bowl team as we are.

Even if you buy into their hype they're probably a 1 and done playoff team.

They have a better roster than we do.

That is debatable but they also have a 1st time head coach and a roster full of dudes that have never played in the playoffs.

They are talented but I expect some growing pains.
