Kareem Hunt had 25 TD's, both rushing and receiving, in 27 regular season games.

The Chiefs need a great feature back.

Listening to the radio all morning here in Jax. They're pretty much saying he's gone from the team. Hoping to get a 3rd rounder for him at best. That's a definite yes if they could get him that cheap. His salary is only $4M.

I don’t see them getting a 3rd round pick for him.

You can't count on guys that have bounced around the league and are available at Vet Minimum to make major contributions.

That said, there are exactly zero scenarios in which Leonard Fournette should be a Chief.

None, zip, nada.

I was addressing the need for a backup which POND brought up. I am not saying we have found our next great RB.

Although with Reid and Mahomes, maybe Washington can break out. You never know.

I trust Veach to be able to get a decent RB in the draft much more than I do trading one of our picks to get this guy.

I think they'll be lucky to get a 2021 7th because every team knows he'll be released if they can't trade him.

LMAO Sort of unrelated but Tony Khan and Ngakoue have taken to Twitter in a public spat. What a dumpster fire of an organization.

He's 27 years old and was on the roster when Gruden and Mayock arrived. His numbers were pedestrian at best, which is why they took Josh Jacobs, a legitimate stud, in last year's draft.

If Washington has a breakout season, the Chiefs will likely allow him to walk and get a Comp Pick in 2021.

Signings like these are Lottery Picks and aren't even guaranteed to make the roster.

The Franchise 04-20-2020 11:40 AM

If anybody should trade for him.....it should be the Dolphins or Lions.

L.A. Chieffan 04-20-2020 11:42 AM

If we got him super cheap, like 5th rounder cheap, I wouldn't mind kicking the tires for a year. Reid can make him look like a stud for one season and then he can kick rocks.

A few folks have mentioned this on another thread but I thought it deserved a thread of it's own as media sources, both national and Chiefs associated, have linked the Chiefs to Fournette HERE and HERE

Now, Fournette was obviously a first round pick with tons of hype and potential when he came out and there can be no denying he was sensational in his rookie season HERE where his 1000 yards rushing, 300 yards receiving and 10 TD's helped to guide the Jags to the playoffs where he again showed his class by getting four TD's and 242 yards in the games he played.

The next season as we know Blake Bortals got exposed and the Jags were a mess. He missed half the season due to a ****ling leg injury but still managed to get 400 rushing yards, 185 receiving and six total TD's.

Then came last year HERE and my lord he looked devastating. Yet again he got 1000 yards but this time he notched FIVE HUNDRED receiving yards as well. Way more receiving yards than Damian Williams had last year and more than what Kareem Hunt had in his rookie season.

I think we could probably get him for a modest pick tbh because I think the Jags are gonna try to tank for Lawrence...so probably a 4th rounder for next years draft could do it? Who knows...but a 25 year old talent like this doesn't fall into your lap very often. He'd cost us 4m for this season and then we'd have that fifth year option too. IF he's sensational in those two years then we tag him for another. Three years of Fournette without having to pay major bucks sounds tempting to me as I think he would cause absolute mayhem facing those empty boxes.

No

Ngakoue better watch it before Tony Khan has his friends at AEW get in on this.

He's averaged 3.9 ypc in his 3 NFL seasons and has yet to manage to score 20 total TD's with all his rushing and receiving prowess. And he's apparently a giant pain in the ass in the locker room according to a number of people.

So, yes, he's overrated.

You suck at this.

In his rookie season he helped lead them to the AFC championship game and since then his defense has been torn apart and he has no legit qb...but hey, let's ignore that because YOU don't like the guy ROFL

You're telling me. If we don't get Lawrence it's gg for this team.
